State Capital Trip

Tuesday we took a trip to Jefferson City. Claire's artwork which I posted before, was selected to be displayed in the capital rotunda during Youth Art Month. We were free the day of the ceremony, so we took a road trip. Here are a few pictures:

Claire's Musical

Claire's church choir had their annual musical this past weekend. They did a fantastic job! The musical was called "Rescue in the Night" and was based on Daniel and the lion's den. Claire was a member of the chorus this year. A little too shy to audition for one of the bigger roles, although she did say she wanted to next year. She loved working on the musical these past few months. And to make it even neater, her choir (through donations at the performances) raised enough money to help 250 children get cleft palate repairs by way of the charity Smile Train. If I can get some of the video, I will post it in the future. But for now, here's a picture of Claire in her costume right after their last show (they did 3):

Claire's Art

Claire's art work was chosen by her teacher to be on display for Youth Art Month in the Missouri State Capitol. We are going to attend the ceremony in a couple of weeks, but I wanted to post a copy of her picture:
