We spent last weekend with some friends at St. Francois State Park. I highly recommend a trip even if you don't camp. It has all kinds of hiking trails, great campsites, the Big River (swimming and floating in the summer!), playgrounds, picnic shelters, etc. Its just a really fun place to go be outside. Here's a few pictures:
