So people have been asking where I've been... well you know, we've got a guinea pig to take care of now... Just kidding! Truth is, we haven't done anything really to take note of. We've just been keeping busy. Let's see:
Emilie and Claire are both attending summer school- which they both really like. Emilie has already got a big group of new friends who all chorus "Emilie's here" as soon as I walk her to the library (where the kindergarten crowd meets) each morning. Really cute. Although she's already making plans to spend the night and go do things (I'm not ready for that with her yet!). She will definitely be a social butterfly. It has also been a nice break for me to have 2 kids occupied everyday. Although I'm tackling my to-do list from the past year :-) so I haven't really gained any free time yet... Oh well, eventually... and for now, at least the house is a bit cleaner!
Claire is especially into her cooking class (offered at our YMCA). She has a once a week class for an hour. They cook something different each time. She also likes swimming lessons- Em and Elise are swimming too. We are looking forward to some warmer days so we can go swim outside and not freeze! Everyone who's been swimming outside so far this summer has said the water's still cold. I'm sure Chloe wouldn't be thrilled with that.
Chloe's still not walking yet, but she's cruising on anything and will even stand by herself when she doesn't think about it. I think its just a confidence thing at this point. I'm going through her baby stuff right now. (One of those to-do list items) I've been ebaying, giving stuff to friends/family, and a friend of mine is having a garage sale this weekend. Hopefully that will finish us. While its definitely nice to have a bit more space (and a little extra cash!), I've been feeling kind of sad about the whole thing. I can't believe we're moving out of the baby phase for good.
Finally, I was tagged by another blogger friend for the following, so here's a little about me:
Four jobs I have held:
-receptionist at my dad's veterinary clinic
-pharmacy tech
-sales clerk for Bath and Body Works
-band director and clarinet lessons teacher
Four movies I could watch over and over:
-Finding Nemo (although the kids have almost worn me out on this one)
-The Village (I know it didn't get great reviews, but I really like this movie)
-any good Hitchcock film
-Throw Mama From the Train (actually haven't seen this in years, but I still quote it on occasion)
Four places I have lived:
-Champagne, IL
-Bloomington, IL
-Belleville, IL
-St. Louis. MO
Four TV shows I like:
-LOST (my current favorite)
-Grey's Anatomy
-Without a Trace
- CSI or CSI: Miami
Four favorite foods:
-cantaloupe (could eat this for breakfast, lunch, and dinner- but only the really good ones)
-tomatoes (again, only if they're the good ones, preferably home grown) and especially tossed with cucumbers in a salad
-late summer corn on the cob
-and for dessert, anything chocolate
Four places I would rather be:
-on the beach
-in the mountains
-on a cruise
-Australia (always have wanted to go there, haven't made it yet!)
*and I'd definitely want to take the kids, but I'd also like to have a really great nanny go with us, so Eric and I could get in some alone time (hey, I can dream, right?)
I guess that's it for now!

Here I thought Jennifer and I were the only people still watching and enjoying LOST.
LOST drives Eric nuts :-P But for whatever reason, I still am really into it.
